Decision to introduce new currency notes not taken on IMF's behest: SBP

 State Bank Agent Lead representative Saleem Ullah Thursday said that the national bank's choice to print new money notes was not taken at the command of the Global Financial Asset (IMF).

Saleem Ullah, remarking on the issuance of the last series of cash notes, said it was given in 2005 and went on for quite some time.

"It will require around two years to give the main note. It is an extensive cycle."

He added that the new cash will be printed utilizing current innovation.

Sharing insights regarding the Express Bank's arrangement to look for ideas on the cash notes' plan, the appointee lead representative said that popular assessment has likewise been looked for.
