Karachi: Gulistan-e-Johar police station attacked

 More than 80 "piece sellers" went after Gulistan-e-Johar police headquarters, leaving two police officers harmed, Geo News wrote about Friday.

Police said north of 80 individuals engaged with the piece business raged the police headquarters as well as tormented and pelted stones at police officers which brought about wounds to two police including an ASI.

The piece vendors went after police authorities after three suspects were captured for selling taken merchandise, they said.

"The assault was led by the leader of scrap sellers' affiliation, Iqbal Skin, to get the suspects liberated from the police headquarters," they said adding that six of the aggressors had been captured, while most of them escaped. The police depended on cudgel charge to scatter the attackers.

As per the police, two FIRs had been held up at the said police headquarters for the state.

It added that 80 suspects including the nine captured were named for the situation, while Skin was designated as the critical suspect for going after the police headquarters.

Sindh IG for crackdown on piece vendors

Last week, Sindh police boss Ghulam Nabi Memon said road wrongdoing and the deal and acquisition of taken merchandise were interconnected.

The SSP of the Counter Vehicles Lifting Cell had detailed that 352 piece vendors were checked, bringing about 79 captures under 55 FIRs.

Examinations had uncovered that medication junkies frequently traded taken products for cash or medications, or gave them over to tranquilize mafias.

A methodical crackdown on piece vendors had prompted the recuperation of critical measures of taken merchandise from stockrooms. The gathering unveiled that a large part of the taken iron mineral from significant government projects wound up with scrap sellers.
