As per the arrangements, 45% of the imported 220,000 metric lots of urea compost will be sold by Fuji Manures, 25% by Engro, 25% by Fatima Manures and 5% by Agritech.
Sources said that due to a prohibition on sponsoring imported urea by the IMF and non-evacuation of endowment by the territories, contracts had been endorsed to sell urea compost through confidential producers. Sources said that the Financial Coordination Board (ECC) gave consent for the arrangements, which were subsequently endorsed by the government bureau, to import 220,000 metric lots of urea manure worth $100 million from Azerbaijan to be sold by confidential makers.
Sources expressed that as per the arrangements, all costs including the credit taken by the public authority of Pakistan for the import of urea, interest on it, transportation and dealing with costs will be paid by the manure organizations.
