LHC judge Shahid Jamil steps down

 Equity Shahid Jamil Khan has ventured down as an appointed authority of Lahore High Court (LHC) refering to individual reasons, it arose on Friday.

The LHC juge has sent his renunciation to President Arif Alvi. He was to resign in 2029 and was in line to turn into the main equity later on.

"I, Equity Shahid Jamil Khan, in the wake of having filled in as an Adjudicator of Lahore High Court, Lahore for around a decade, thus practice the choice to leave under Article 206(1) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 with prompt impact," he wrote in the renunciation letter.

The active appointed authority likewise refered to precept in the renunciation letter: "An ounce of tact merits a pound of mind".

Last month, two appointed authorities of the High Court — Equity Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Equity Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi — ventured down from the post. Ahsan, the third senior-most adjudicator of the summit court, had said in his renunciation to President Alvi that he wished not to go on as the top court's apointed authority any longer.
