Historical coins recovered from Moenjo Daro


 A pot brimming with copper coins was found from a stupa in Moenjo Daro during protection work here on Thursday.

As indicated by sources, workers were uncovering an imploded wall when they ran over a pot brimming with old copper coins.

Overseer of Protection and Conservation Syed Shakir Shah affirmed that various coins painstakingly pressed in a pot were recuperated and they had been shipped off a research facility for examination. He let The News know that exploration would be attempted to dissect how old these coins were other than deciphering the language and numbers engraved on them.

Shakir Shah said workers recuperated the pot of coins during removal however covered it once more. Later some of them educated the authorities regarding the Chronicles Division who then recovered them.
